Rebirth and Transformation

After you receive Jesus as the Lord of your life, He will expect to be the Lord of your life. And the Scriptures make it clear that there will be a transformation is your life. Before you receive your new body that has been promised, there will be a change in your head and in your heart. I have said many times that an unbeliever wants to get away with their sins. But once the Spirit of God is living within your spirit, your motivations and desires change and your desire is to get away from your sins.

Paul put it this way:

“Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within, so that you may prove in practice that the plan of God for you is good, meets all his demands and moves towards the goal of true maturity.” (Romans 12:2)

Your transformation will be immediate and radical and as the Spirit of God begins His work your life, you become a new creation; and receive a new nature. One translation states that you become a “New species that has never existed before.” Sure, there have been new believers for centuries, but you haven’t been new.

For us to renew our minds it will involve the activation of new qualities of our new birth. We need to realize that the battles we face are in our mind. The T.I.S! (Thoughts, Ideas, Suggestions). This is why we need to bring our thinking in line with what our Father’s Word establishes. Hoever, if you don’t read, study and meditate His Word, you will have no idea what it there. For instance, His Word declares we are now in Christ. Yeah, yeah. I know, sometimes it doesn’t feel like you are. But that doesn’t change the reality of His presence. Christ has already achieved these spiritual realities for you.

We have to believe what he has already accomplished for us!. Some feel they have to work to do all the right things to be acceptable to God. In the reality of our faith, we don’t work to achieve anything, but we renew our minds and believe what God says about us in His Word.

I Corinthians 1:30 says,

“[N]o man may boast in the presence of God. Yet from this same God you have received your standing in Jesus Christ, and he has become for us the true wisdom, a matter, in practice, of being made righteous and holy, in fact, of being redeemed”

Oh glory to God! Now we have wisdom; we have righteousness; we are sanctified and redeemed! Do you believe that? That is what we are to believe and put in our renewed mind.

We have been made righteous by what Yahweh’s Son accomplished for us!  Again, as Paul explains it: “One man’s disobedience placed all men under the threat of condemnation, but one man’s obedience has the power to present all men righteous before God” (Romans 5:19) “God caused Christ, who himself knew nothing of sin, actually to be sin for our sakes, so that in Christ we might be made good with the goodness of God” (II Corinthians 5:21)

Unless we keep renewing our mind to God’s Word and what it says we are, we will be continually beating ourselves up! But there is no reason for that because we are righteous according to God’s Word!

There are many believers who stand righteous, but walk around with their heads down and living with no joy or peace. They feel like they have to be doing the right things to achieve righteousness the whole time that Jesus Christ already paid the price for their righteousness!

“[T]he kingdom of Heaven is not a matter of whether you get what you like to eat and drink, but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you put these things first in serving Christ you will please God and are not likely to offend men” (Romans 14:17)

Oh man! As long as your heart is condemning you, you will never have any confidence toward your Father love. You will continually try to appease Him; to get His approval. You will never be able to believe and accept the simple promises of God’s Word. Get your thoughts off of yourself and your failures. Set them on fire with your Father’s love and acceptance. He loves you, dear friend. Anyone who knows what God’s Word declares and is willing to believe it, have no reason to be condemned or afraid. We can have confidence toward our God’s love and acceptance, and triumph in every situation of our life! ItHi isn’t about you, it about Him! His work! His Redemption! His Grace for your life.

We do not have to work to achieve! God has made us acceptable by the works of Jesus Christ our savior.

“Praise be to God for giving us through Christ every possible spiritual benefit as citizens of Heaven! Consider what he has done — before the foundation of the world he chose us to become, in Christ, his holy and blameless children living within his constant care. [THAT’S YOU!] He planned, in his purpose of love, that we should be adopted as his own children through Jesus Christ — that we might learn to praise that glorious generosity of his which has made us welcome in the everlasting love he bears towards the Son” (Ephesians 1:3-6)

Oh, baby! We have been MADE acceptable. It has already been achieved! Quit beating yourself up! Quit moaning and groaning and calling yourself such a loser! NO! You are the Righteousness of Christ, Redeemed and Restored to Life!

Once you renew our mind to believe what God’s Word says about yourself you can have peace and joy in your life. All it takes is a determined effort on your part to see yourself and all those around you as Yahweh sees you. Once you understand this, the results are astounding. You will have boldness and confidence in our God; our heavenly Father! Quit calling Him “God.” Call Him Father! He loves to hear you cry out, “Father!” We have the assurance of life eternal. “That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”(Titus 3:7)Let’s look in the mirror today and see the glory of the Lord. It’s Christ in you! Have a glorious day.

We have been given the assurance of Eternal Life, Zoe, the very life and nature of Yahweh, Himself!

“[W]e are acquitted by his grace, and can look forward to inheriting life for evermore. This is solid truth.”(Titus 3:7)

Look in the mirror this morning, see the glory of the Lord! It is Christ who is in you!

Shout it out! Excelsior! Onward! Upward! Go on, take on the day!
