Just Ask

Here is something for us to consider, from the day we are born, we begin a journey. During this journey, we will run into many twists and turns. Sometimes we will face turnarounds and sometimes just plain boring landscapes. But it is a journey that no one else can take for you. But there IS someone who can help.

Jesus spoke to those traveling and He told them, “Before you do anything else, set your heart and mind and strive after the Kingdom of God and His way of doing and being right, and then all these things taken together will be given you.” (Matthew 6:32).

Be honest. You spend your life looking for clues. You want to discover who you are and why you are here. Well, Jesus was saying, you need to find out who God is, first! He made you. He knows who you are and why He had given you life. Yeah, yeah. There is nothing new about all that.

“Oh, you don’t understand. I am so lost here. So alone. I don’t where to go or what to do.”

Ah, that’s okay. What you know now, is the Truth. Just hold onto that. Have faith in the Source of Truth and He will show the path to take.

“Oh, but what is the Truth?”

Ask Him.

“But, I don’t understand who He is.”

Oh, He understands you. He is aware of your fears, your weaknesses, your desires. Everything. Just take a step toward Him, and He will step toward you because He loves you! Sure, it may not make sense right away, but He can turn anything into something good.

Oh my dear friends, every one of us has experienced these concerns. We look at all Yahweh has created, we look at our past and everything that had happened and still wonder, “Why?”

Well, we discover these answers by being open and, and here is the most important act: asking. He will meet us where we are and show us the way! Our greatest problem is that we never ask Him for the answers.
